Current Information

HealthChoices is Pennsylvania’s managed care program for providing and coordinating health care for people who receive Medicaid. Behavioral HealthChoices is the part of the broader HealthChoices program that covers mental health and substance use disorder services. The Allegheny County Department of Human Services contracts with Community Care Behavioral Health Organization (Community Care), a behavioral health managed care organization (BH-MCO), to partner in administration of the Behavioral HealthChoices program in Allegheny County.

Community Care publishes summary information about key Behavioral HealthChoices metrics in Allegheny County. Available data cover member demographics, behavioral health service use, quality measures, physical health measures for members with serious mental illness, substance use disorder services and the behavioral health provider network.
